85-year-old killed in Haridwar

Haridwar, Nov 2(PTI) Unidentified criminals choked to
death a retired government official and looted cash and
ornaments worth Rs 11 lakh from his house at Lehboli village
here, police today said.
The body of 85-year-old Sukhbir Kaushik was found with
his hands and legs tied and mouth gagged when his domestic
help reached there yesterday, who informed the police.
Kaushik was alone at the time of the incident, as a day
before, his wife Krishna left for his son's place at Roorkee.
Family members told police that the criminals also looted
Rs 4 lakh in cash and ornaments worth Rs 7 lakh from the
house.
A case of murder and loot was registered against the
unidentified criminals. PTI
