Dehradun, Oct 30(PTI) Heads of states of SAARC nations are expected to attend the South Asian Federation wintergames, scheduled to be held early next year in Uttarakhand, official sources today said.
Though Indian Olympic Association is yet to finalise the
dates for the games scheduled to be held in Auli and Dehradun,
official sources said that they would be held sometime in
January 2010.
Since the heads of the states like Sri Lanka, Bhutan
might come to attend the inaugural ceremony of SAF winter
games, Centre has talked to the state government regarding the
security aspect sources said adding that the preparations for
the winter games are in full swing. PTI
